Getting started

1.Put our kickoff call on the calendar

Forty-five minutes. I’ll have read your form by then, so we can spend it on the things a form can’t cover.

Do this one first. The rest can happen any time before we talk.

2.Fill out the short form

Your address, hours, what you offer, where you work. The stuff that’s faster to type than to say. About fifteen minutes.

If you don’t know an answer, skip it. We’ll fill the gaps on our call.

Have your logo file handy if you’ve got the original from whoever made it.

3.Give me access to your Google profile

That’s the panel that shows up when somebody searches your business name. Your hours, photos, reviews, the call button. I need to be on it as a Manager.

1. Go to google.com/business and sign in
2. Click your business
3. Open the menu, then Business Profile settings
4. Click People and access
5. Click Add, enter [email protected], choose Manager
6. Click Invite

If that doesn’t work, tell me now rather than later. Usually it’s one of these: you’re not sure which email it was set up under, somebody else set it up and they’re gone, or it was never claimed and there’s just a listing sitting there. Any of those is fixable. It takes time, so I’d rather start now.

4.Download the app

Search your app store for LeadConnector and install it. I’ll send you a login once your account is set up.

It’s where you can see every lead in one place and text people back without giving out your cell. You don’t have to live in it — new leads come to you as a text and an email no matter what.
